| Description: | JOB POSTING Weekend Morning Newscast Producer 02/5/10 This is to advise you of an opening on our staff for the position of WEEKEND MORNING NEWSCAST PRODUCER. QUALIFICATIONS: •Minimum one (1) year experience as a newscast producer. •Strong broadcast writing skills and command of language skills. •Ability to type, using a newsroom computer system. •Ability to work in a high pressure environment. •Understand the proper mix of video to graphics to on-camera. •Familiarity with videotape photography, editing, and graphics. •Work well with news and production staff. •Ability to write and edit news content for the internet. •Flexibility to work as needed within station hours of operation, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays. •Possess a valid driver’s license. •Ability to work in a team-based environment. •College degree required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: •Direct news, engineering, and production staffs, in order to achieve a compelling newscast. •Provide leadership, offer guidance, and provide constructive feedback to staff. •Type copy for newscast. •Edit videotape, if necessary. •Ability to meet daily deadlines and deal with high pressure situations. •Able to communicate with and direct crew in the field during newscast. •Assist news management with logistic planning and in long-range projects. •Able to lift 20 pounds.
